Posted by Pete on July 18th, 2006

Erica has come up with a genuis way to have two great things come together so nicely!  She has instructions on how to have your google personalized home page come up as a side bar in Firefox.

Whenever I’m on my Mac or Linux box, I miss the functionality of my Google Desktop Sidebar. I like being able to have a to do list, my Google calendar, and other various useful things right at my fingertips.

Has anyone seen the Quadski?

Posted by Pete on July 13th, 2006

You’ve got a Quad and a jetski all in one.  Why isn’t this already available to all the shore towns in the USA?

Don’t forget to check out thier car and SUV version of amphibians.

Why don’t they just install cams into everyones’ homes?

When one deliberately builds in government mandated backdoors that can be opened in secret and without notice, one is opening such systems to undetected access by anyone who can discover and operate them, including those who may be deemed even more undesirable than national governments spying on their own citizens.

Where's our rights bitch?

BMW that parks itself.

Posted by Pete on July 11th, 2006

Yup, that’s right!  A BMW that parks itself.  Currently in the making to be released within the next 3 years.

Setting up the parking system involves placing a reflective lens against the wall of at the head of the parking space. A miniature video camera on the car’s front windshield measures the distance and angle of the car relative to the lens, while the sensor assumes there is a minimum distance of about 8 inches to the left and right sides of the car.

A little setting up needed, but still cool.
