Found this in the back room of my old job. It was titled “YO MS Raps!” MS-DOS 5.0 was the first version available in a retail package. Looks like MS spent a few $$$ to produce the effects in this video to promote it.

Can you make music with your hands like Gerry Phillips can? I doubt it.

I remember a time that IM (Instant messaging) programs were scarce. That’s right, it was hard to find a decent program for communication. The top dogs were ICQ, AIM, and MSN Messenger and they all sucked back then compared to the features available today.

I use Skype and Google Talk on a daily basis. For me, this covers every base I need, but then there’s times that people need to communicate with me and they only use a particular medium. In those cases I only use Aim or MSN Messenger.

Anyway, here’s a huge list of Instant Messenging programs that list all kinds, from desktop to web-based to network im programs.

Semi Truck hits man in wheelchair and takes him for a ride!

This is just unbelievable! A man in a wheelchair starts to cross the street, in the meantime a semi-truck leaves a gas station and embeds this poor guy’s chair into his grill and pushes him down the road about 50 miles before police stop the truck driver from going any further. Nobody gets hurt! 50 MILES!!

Of course the truck driver didn’t know he had a guy stuck as his new hood ornament. Carpenter (the man in the wheelchair) was pushed in his seat the whole time and by some kind of miracle completely unharmed.

“I was happy. Thank God it was over,” Carpenter said. “I thought it was kind of like a fair ride. I don’t remember feeling any bumps though. I must have, but the road must have been pretty smooth.”

Major lack of updates lately, I’ve been busy and well, you know how that goes. But no worries, I won’t give you up! lol

Not sure how some of you are prepping up for this summer’s gas hike. But with $4 a gallon around the corner, I just equipped myself with a couple of Kymco scooters. (his-People 250 / hers- Bet and Win 250) My wife and I are extremely excited about scootering around this summer! More details about my experiences with the scooters in the future.

Skype for Linux 1.4 Released!

Skype for Linux 1.4 Alpha has been released. This doesn’t mean it’s ready for prime time just yet, there are some issues that still need to be worked out, but it’s a complete rewrite and a step towards a much more stable version for linux.
Video and SMS functionality is still not ready for this release, but there is a new file transfer window. You can read what the requirements and current issues for Skype 1.4 alpha here.

We’re again close to our mother nature birth cycle – nine months between 1.2 and 1.3 and seven months between 1.3 and 1.4. But this early born is an Alpha version, so we will take our two months to make it a real cute baby.

Good news is that they’re expecting release cycles to release every few weeks until they reach Gold. They’ve also put together a bugtracker for this linux alpha version where you can report bugs or keep track of them.

Don’t take my word for it. Jason Whitlock speaks to CNN about his feelings on the whole Imus issue. You can another video on CNN with Jason Whitlock and Al Sharpton, but you’ll have to search for it there.
There’s also some more comments from Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee defending Imus that you may find interesting.

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are domestic terrorists lighting fires and picking everyone’s pocket on the way out of town. Jackson should be down at Duke apologizing to those lacrosse players – he owes them an apology for stirring up that mess. Black America is tired of Jackson.

I personally am not an Imus fan, but I do feel this guy has been strung up by the lynch mob.

The great James Brown has died in an Atlanta hospital this morning. He was in there due to a pneumonia. R.I.P.

Live at the Apollo,” which Brown put up his own money to record from a 1962 performance, became No. 2 on Billboard’s album chart. His first Top 10 pop single was the 1965 “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag.”

Brown received a lifetime achievement Grammy Award in 1992.
